Tasting Notes: Refreshing and enticing, our Appellation Series Rosé bursts with bright citrus zest aromas and complex layers of juicy wild strawberries and watermelon, reminiscent of warm summer days. Enjoy its soft entry followed by a nice creamy texture mid palate. Crisp and well balanced – this Rosé is an authentic representation of the vineyards in which it grows.

Vineyard: Our certified sustainable Rosé is a delightful blend of two North Coast AVA vineyards, Syrah grown in Sonoma Valley and Grenache from Dry Creek Valley.

Vintage: With ideal conditions during flowering and a cooler, dry year, yields were up and the quality superb. The large crop set resulted in our team making multiple thinning passes of the fruit leaving only that of the highest quality. Due to mild temperatures, harvest started two weeks later than in 2017. With only one rain event at the beginning of October and clear skies from then on, the fruit was able to have a long hang time to reach textbook maturity.

Winemaking: The lots for our Rosé goes straight to press as whole clusters carefully monitoring color and favors to get the perfect pink. The juice is cold fermented to dryness in order to preserve the crisp acidity and aromatic fruit character. Its flush hue comes from the very short amount of time the juice spends on its skins. This wine is 100% stainless steel fermented at very low temperatures to preserve the fresh fruit components.
