Tasting Notes: Derived in the cool-climate of the Sonoma Valley, this full-bodied Syrah is broad and spicy, with espresso, dark chocolate and toasted spice details to the cherry and blueberry flavors. The tannins provide appealing grip on the finish.
Vinification: Made with the most traditional hands-on methods, the grapes were hand sorted in the vineyard. The fruit was then handled delicately to remove the stems then optically sorted to retain only the most perfect berries. Those berries are left to cold soak in an open top fermenter, punched down daily and then fermented with native yeast. The varietals and blocks are always kept separate to express the specific site and blended prior to bottling.
